In the latest mailout of Artkrush, I was reminded once again of the dreamy minimalist landscapes created by Tara Donovan. I can't stop staring at the installations... it would have to be a meditative act to install and re install each piece.. or else... mentally breaking. ah. surreal installations that simulate dream spaces - I'll fly through them with you (x)
what else? last night we did a stop motion animation much like pika pika. It was so much fun! a group of friends, glow sticks, a camera, a box of long necks (woo yes) and hyde park tricks. All I have to do is edit and play with the hundreds of photos that we took but it'll definitely be rewarding. Once we got settled, it was so easy to do. My favourite was the outline of my body being traced, an arrow flying and decapitating me and my body falling to the ground.
Massive thank you to milos, lauren, paul, conor, and most especially crispin. Also, the pika dudes for giving me permission to play with their technique and jo for making my eyes pop out by blogging them in the first place
pika club? anyone?

oh gosh, artcrush and boldtype and flavorpill and earplg just waste my days away! I do love these installations though, and wonder if they'd burst like bubble wrap if you rolled around on them...

bec,
I hope they would! oh yes yes yes.
I dream about these kinds of landscapes all of the time. I want a kitchen that is completely made out of china but looks as though it is plastic and bubble wrap.
perhaps not the most practical... but still quite beautiful.
